One of the best things about Key West is bars. Key West bars are different - they have so much . When you have a drink in a Key West bar you immediately feel your troubles melt away. Going out for drinks is an inherent characteristic to mostpeople that live in Key West, and we certainly live up to the sterotype.

The nightlife in Key West is second to none. It seems that there is something fun to do on any given night in Key West. I can think of no other place that you can go out on a Tuesday night and the street is packed. With so many bars out there , alot of times visitors come to town and miss a lot of the best bars. Here are some of our favorite places:

 Fantastic bar right on the water that has a happy hour from 4:00 - 7:00 daily. There always seems to be some sort of live entertainment there as well. If you are there at night make sure to check out Franks Magic Bar. Frank does card tricks that are crazy. We've seen him do the same tricks 20 times and are still amazed. We assure you it is worth the trip. When you are at Schooner Wharf Bar get a drink to go and take a stroll and look at the boats. It's always an enjoyable walk.

This is the place to go for frozen drinks. We've tried them all. Our personal favorites are the Banana Banshee, Grainorade and the Grape Ape. Make sure to get the extra "floater" of Bacardi Select on top. It is also a great place to have dinner. Every day from 4:00 - 7:00 there is a Happy Hour worth going to. Try the jello shots, they are made with 151 and only cost $1.

During Fantasy Fest Flying Monkey's host the now famous Red Party. The basic premise is "Wear lots of red and have a great time" We also do!

Within the Rick's complex lies Durty Harry's which has the best live music on the Island. There is live music every night. If you in town during football season, Durty Harry's is the best place to watch the games. Rick's is a great place to go during Spring Break - there is always a wild party going on.




Green Parrot

Located slightly off the beaten path the Green Parrot is certainly worth the trip. I can't explain it but we have a great time every time we go there. There are darts, pool and a great juke box. The Green Parrot has a strong locals presence but visitors are always welcomed.

If you are hungry make sure to check out the Meteor Smokehouse right night door. The Meteor has world class BBQ, make sure to try the green beens. They are spectacular.
